Academy Classes Positions

Valley Beth Shalom Etz Chaim Learning Center in Encino, California is looking for teachers for our specialized academy programs. One position is for our Cooking Academy and the other is for our My Trip to Israel Academy. Candidates for our Cooking Academy should have culinary knowledge and skills as well as being comfortable to lead creative and hands on learning in the kitchen with recipes and ingredients. Candidates for My Trip to Israel academy classes must have knowledge about Israel both in history and modern day culture, geography, food, language, and more. The teacher will work as a team in creating Jewish curriculum and connecting it to cooking or Israel. The teacher must be available to teach Tuesdays from 4:00-6:15 and Sundays from 9:30-11:45 and is also required to attend our monthly staff development on Thursdays from 4:00-5:30.
